Reverie Ballroom | Capitol Hill, Seattle
Art is the only language vast enough to explore the paradox of our collective humanity — that we are completely different and yet entirely the same.
We are each one.
We are all one.
We are Starstuff.

A Weekend of Story, Song & Connection
Step into the first-ever theatrical event in the newly restored Grand Ballroom at Reverie Ballroom (formerly Century Ballroom).
For three days, Starstuff Festival transforms this historic space into a constellation of creativity. Audiences and artists will share powerful personal stories, original theatre, live music, and workshops designed to spark conversation and connection.
From Friday night’s kickoff party to Sunday afternoon’s closing moments, you’ll experience:
Four dynamic solo performances by Carmella Riley, Xan Herring, Joanna Parson, and Parker Mills
Original music created by emerging local songwriters in response to the performances
An autobiographical food-writing workshop and staged reading of an excerpt a new book with author and chef Kim O’Donnel
Creative workshops that invite you to reflect, share, and create
A sneak peek at the new musical Signs of Life (link)
Parties, conversations, and spontaneous moments of discovery
Call for Artists
We’re seeking a small constellation of young solo songwriters (ages 16–24) to join the festival.
If selected, you will:
Write and perform an original song inspired by a featured solo show (and possibly a second song inspired by the festival vision)
Preview the work early to begin your creative process
Share your artistic journey through conversations with our audiences
Perform at the festival alongside nationally recognized artists
We’re looking for: Solo writers (any genre) who perform their own work, ages 16-24, with emotional honesty and thoughtful perspective.
