Signs of Life  is a new musical, currently in development, about a boy coming of age in a chaotic and dysfunctional Long Island family. He is led on a journey by the twelve signs of the zodiac in order to understand himself within his family. As an adult, he is reminded of his younger self and these lessons in order to heal from his past and understand himself in the world.

The show had two readings in Seattle in Spring 2024 and an Industry Reading in NYC in October 2024.

The team
Signs of Life is the debut work from composer  Christopher DeLair , who has written the show's music, book, and lyrics.

It is being directed by  James Rocco , an award-winning veteran of more than thirty musical theatre productions.

 Chris Ranney , most recently of Broadway's five-year run of Come from Away, is providing Music Direction and arrangements.

Adding his expertise as dramaturg is  Albert Evans , who brings his vast musical theatre experience to bear on the show's intricate story.

With an original story, music, and lyrics by The Kinks’ legendary Ray Davies and a script by Joe Penhall, this award-winning new musical makes its North American Premiere directed by Artistic Director Edward Hall, whose UK debut production took the West End by storm.
