Who we are
Astro Lab is a new theatre production company based in Seattle. We have set out to build stellar musical experiences for audiences big and small, worldwide. Our primary focus is developing new works with new artists, working with each opportunity to help a show find its best home and its natural audience.
We are brand new, having been formed in January of 2024. We currently are focusing on a single project, Signs of Life by Christopher DeLair. To find out more about this incredible show and the development process, please get in touch with us.

Erin Coomer - Founder, CEO With 30+ years of musical theatre experience and education, Erin is a passionate advocate for the arts. She has a BA in Music Education and Vocal Performance and a background in songwriting and production.
Erin has spent the past two decades supporting organizations for young people in Seattle. She served over nine years on the board of directors for YouthCare, working to advocate and end youth homelessness in Seattle and served three years on the board of directors for the Seattle chapter of Summer Search, an organization supporting high school students to become first generation college students. Erin believes strongly that community involvement is a vital part of life.
In 2023, Erin co-founded Astro Lab for the purpose of supporting new artists and new works of art. She envisions the company growing to become a place where people from all walks of life can find and discover their voice and create impact within the broader community through art. She is thrilled to be giving a voice to the work of Christopher DeLair with Signs of Life, the premier production of Astro Lab.

Greg Coomer - Founder, Designer Greg has been a designer in the games and entertainment industry for 30 years. At Astro Lab you might find him working on things as varied as contracts, live audio equipment, or the typography on a screen-printed t-shirt.
Greg is told he is an Aquarius. His favorite constellation is the Pleiades cluster. He rejects the notion that the Pleiades is actually just part of Taurus, and insists that it be recognized as its own standalone constellation. He is also Team Pluto.

Christopher DeLair - resident composer Chris was raised by wolves, and then by his sisters, and then by the stars. Now it's up to all of us to raise him the rest of the way, which means he's back to wolves.
He's a triple-threat: he can sing, he can order thai food, and he can light up a room with his smile. Also he can write. Beautiful music, lyrics, and stories about lost children who want sweet vengeance or sweet dessert.
